notes.rosetrellis.01.000

so, i finally have my card reader and camera back on a consistant basis and time to blog. ^_^ this means that i finally get to post about all the lovely lace i've been knitting.

about a year ago, i was at a fashion school store, and found a gigantic cone of cotton yarn. it was such a fun color, and a total steal. i carted it to school, thinking i would make thigh-high belled leg warmers. guess what i never got around to starting? i finally decided that, alas, it would never be leg warmers, and it was high time i made a lace shawl. and i had the perfect yarn for a summer lace shawl. that i had plenty of. ^_^ it's so big, i just had to take a photo of it.

and so you can actually see how big this thing is, i took a photo of it next to a skein of fifty grams of worsted weight.

i'm working the rose trellis shawl. i forget where i got it from, but it was free online somewhere. and it's really pretty. it's four triangular panels worked from the neck, making a square. it's worked flat, and the break is on one of the diagonal lines from the center.

this is about one repeat of one of the triangles.

i didn't have circs in the right size - twos, that is. i have circs in threes, but the fabric was too loose. so, i started it on straights. i ran out of space on the needle after four repeats or so, and had to go buy circs. ^_^
