so... knitting that pattern actually fits me. ... rather well.

the thumb gusset even fits perfectly.

it seems i'm getting twenty stitches per four centimeters. not seventeen. and i'm getting thirteen rows per two centimeters and not ten. but i left the row count the same. i just recalculated the stitches. this yarn is just out to confuse me. at least i'll know how to get a pair that fits me.

i've casted on again, with four more stitches and i'm doing a plain row in the thumb gusset every four rows. maybe this one will work.

...

restarted dave's gloves again. and this time they'll fit. i swear! i redid the calculations and so it should work now. if not, it'll be so much closer. it looks really good this time. i like it in this gauge. it's on zeros. and i really like the stitch size and it's making a nice fabric. and it's _so_ shiny. @_@

so, pattern notes!
